Debate: Paladin vs Deathknight

In a general context, which class is better in every way.

For starters:
Both have the same armor proficiency
Both have heal capabilities (DK restricted to self-heal only)
Both get class mounts
etc, etc

I want to hear from you guys, reasons why either class is better than the other.

Paladin, They can heal others, they have Bubbles.
Paladins can use shields to tank with, that adds more Spellpower, and or Defense Rating. Paladins have Ressurection, and Buffs.

deathknights can heal allies under the condition we have 40 rp

its all a matter of taste really....

Paladins:
Healing-(self and allies)
Shield-(for tanking)
Bubbles-(for epic n00b escapes)
Buffs-(self and allies)
Auras-(self and allies)
Stuns-(..to stun people)

Deathknights:
Self-healing only(although Mark of Blood can heal allies off an enemy attack)
Ghoul Companions
Diseases
Large variety of devastating attacks (which hurt more than Ret paladin attacks)
Death Grip- (who doesn't like pulling someone towards you from 40 yards away??)
Rune weapons
Silencing!
Chains-(for every enemy, not just undead like Paladins)
Icy Thorns-(increase your haste and decrease haste for any enemy)
ANY RACE! (thanks to Amarantcoral for the reminder)

Plus they have multiple spells you can cast and say.

EDIT: Oh and, you can be any race. there for taking advantage of any racial you want.

Well First of All To Be Honest Death Knights Do Not Count As Healers Wheather Its Self Healing Or Healing Others Still The Fact Remains They Can Not Heal. Deathknights Have A Strict Role In Instances/Raids They Are Either DPS/Tanks. Paladins On The Other Hand Have 3 Roles DPS/Tank/Healers So Depending On Gear I Think The Paladins And Deathknights Are Equal At Tanking, Yes Paladins May Have Shields And More Stuff To Help Them, But Also DKs Have Frost Presence And Lots Of Armour Attributes From Their Talents, However As A DPS Role There Is A Slight Difference, As Playing A DK DPS Is Easier Then A Retridin DKS Have More Moves To Do Damage Then Paladins, But Again I Will Say Depending On Gear They Can Be Equal It Just Depends On How The Players That Are Playing A Retridin Play The Role. At Healin However There Are Only 4 Classes In WoW That Count As Healers, Which Are (Priests-Shamans-Paladins-Druids) The DK Doesnt Count As A Healer. Smile

very true christina! you brought up a good point on the roles they can perform in. Pallies have all major specs (tank,healer,and dps) while DK's are limited to just Tank and DPS.
